invitation to the blues by cableclair invitation to the blues by cableclair
This is done with an ordinairy blue ballpoint. I've been buying a whole bunch of Tom Waits cd's lately and invitation to the Blues must be my favorite song of all time, it's so lovely film noir-ish that I just HAD to do some artsie about this fella. So there you go :-D. I'm VERY VERY fond of ballpoint lately...the thrill of not being able to erase and discovering the stuff you can do with it :-D.

Ah, a 70s Waits, nice :)

It looks nice, it actually looks like him ;)
Though, I'm not sure if the chin actually looks like the real thing.

But anyway, nicely've chosen a right pose to draw, this represents him and his image nicely. If that makes sense.

Very nice. I love the job you did with your crosshatching and shading. Very cool how you could foresee the area of the nose to leave white. His left arm looks a little off to me, or maybe it is just the angle of his head. It looks like it is detached to me. I wonder if a little more shadow on the upper part of the left arm...right by the eye could help. *stares* But then again, I don't know human anatomy at all, but... erm, just saying what I see. Excellent job. :D Do more pen work. =)
